Join The Artnome Art Market Free!

Collect the most important art in history... for free... right now!

The Artnome marketplace is a game that allows art lovers to collect famous artworks in digital format for free with proof of ownership stored on the Ethereum blockchain! Each Artwork is one-of-a-kind and 100% owned by you; it cannot be replicated, taken away, or destroyed. You can buy, sell, or trade your Artnome Art like it was a traditional artwork, with the knowledge that the blockchain will track ownership securely.

It's simple, fun, and contributes to art history by helping to grow the world's largest database of complete works by our most important artists (featured in FiveThirtyEight). We can't make promises on this, but if the Artnome database becomes the Google of fine art, owning the Artnome version of Van Gogh's Sunflowers may turn out to be a nice little investment!

How Do I Get Art?

The Easiest Option

  1. Download and install a Chrome browser plugin called MetaMask. This will allow websites (that you authorize) access to your Ethereum account.
  2. If you made a new account, buy some Ether. The MetaMask plugin has a button that will allow you to buy Ether from Coinbase.
  3. Once you have the plugin installed, this website will recognize it and add buttons that allow you to bid on, buy and sell art directly in the interface.
  4. Need a tiny amount of Ethereum to get started? Email me at jason@artnome.com and I'll try to hook you up!

What If I Buy/Sell Artworks On The Artnome Market?

Should you decide to buy or sell works on the market, 10% of the sale goes to Artnome in part to support growth of our database. 3% of the sale goes to the software development team (these awesome dudes) to make sure the platform stays up, runs smoothly, and we can add new features. But we wanted everyone to be able to participate and we wanted to reward early collectors so if you just want to claim the free artworks for your collection that's cool too!

Feature 1

If someone already grabbed your favorite artwork you can offer to buy it on the market. Perhaps you grabbed 20 Van Gogh's but diversify and would like to add Cezanne? No problem, put a few Van Gogh's on the market to fund your new purchase.

Why, because it is a ton of freaking fun and it brings art lovers together to collect and share their passions in a fun and potentially profitable way. That's right, you can claim as many famous works as you want for free and then offer them for sale on the fully operational marketplace.

Do well and do good!

Participating in the Artnome market actual helps to grow a critical resource for art lovers and art historians. Artnome founder Jason Bailey has spent the last three years of his life (and much of his discretionary income) trying to build a much needed database of complete works from our most important artists. But he needs help to keep growing the database and to make a free resource for everyone!
